This Refund & Payment Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms and conditions for payments, cancellations, and refunds for all services provided by Ratiochess, founded by Dmitry Gordievsky.
1. Payment MethodsWe accept payments via:
  • MercadoPago (Argentina)
  • Bank transfer
  • PayPal
  • Cryptocurrency (USDT or BTC, upon request)
All fees must be paid in the agreed currency and before the start of the service unless otherwise arranged in writing.
2. Types of ServicesThis policy applies to:
  • 1-on-1 online chess lessons
  • Group classes
  • Pre-recorded courses or packages
  • Subscriptions or bundled sessions
  • Free trial lessons or consultations (if offered)
  • 3. Booking and PrepaymentSome services may require advance booking and full prepayment.
  • Slots are not confirmed until payment is received, unless otherwise agreed.
  • 4. Cancellations and Rescheduling By the Student:Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
  • If cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the session, the lesson may be counted as delivered.
  • In the case of emergency or technical issues, we may consider exceptions at our discretion.
  • By the Coach:We reserve the right to reschedule any lesson with reasonable notice and will offer an alternative time promptly.
  • If we cancel a lesson and no suitable alternative is found, you will receive a full refund for that session.
5. RefundsRefunds may be issued under the following conditions:
  • Full refund if you cancel a prepaid service more than 24 hours in advance.
  • Partial refund may apply for unused portions of a prepaid package (minus any sessions already delivered).
  • No refund is available for digital materials (downloads, videos) once accessed or delivered.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable, but access may continue until the end of the paid period.
All refund requests must be sent to info@ratiochess.com within 14 days of the transaction.
6. Disputed ChargesIf you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us first at info@ratiochess.com before filing a dispute with your payment provider. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly and fairly.
7. Currency and TaxesAll prices are listed in the agreed currency (typically USD or ARS) unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any applicable bank fees, conversion fees, or local taxes.
8. UpdatesWe may update this Policy occasionally to reflect changes in service structure or regulations. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
